Disneyland
Paris is the Disney empire's toehold in Europe is on the western
outskirts of Paris. It is easily reached via the Metro Line A (red
line) direction Marne-la-Vallee. See Metro Map. Get off at Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy
about 40 minutes from central Paris. Admission 46 Euros adult and

Puy
de Fou
is an impressive park that has a historical theme.Watch spectacular
and realistic re-enactments of battles through history. There is a
full recreation of a Roman colosseum complete with gladiators, chariot
races and real lions. Witness a Viking raid on an unsuspecting 10th
century village or watch medieval knights jousting. This is one of
the best theme parks in Europe. Only open mid April to mid September.
Located in the Vendee Departement south of Nantes. For directions

Futuroscope
is near Poitiers southwest of Paris specialises in multi-media,
computer generated type experiences. It has its own TGV station
so is easy to get to. Depart from Gare Montparnasse in Paris.
Aqualand
Cap d’Agde is Europe's largest water park not far from
Montpellier on the Mediterranean Coast. The Aqualand group actually
consists of seven Aqualand themeparks. Six are located at various
points along the Mediterranean Coast and one on the Atlantic near
Bordeaux.
Parc Asterix
northwest of Paris is a must for fans of Asterix and Obelix. It
is on a par with Dreamworld and has several very good rides and
is a great family outing. Parc Asterix is 30 km north of Paris off
the A1 Autoroute to Lille. You can take the Metro to Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle
Airport (Terminal 1) and from there a free shuttle to the park.
